- Red Bull Empire of Dirt - 34 of the best BMX riders in the World will descend on London’s Alexandra Palace to take part in the second installment of the event, which is the brain child of BMX legend Kye Forte. Red Bull Empire of Dirt is a BMX slope style contest which aims to find the most well rounded rider from the various disciplines of BMX. The 2012 event will be staged in front of the magnificent Alexandra Palace, where 10,000 people will see the likes of Corey Bohan, Gary Young and Kriss Kyle taking on huge jumps overlooking the London skyline, which will form an incredible backdrop during a big sporting year for the capital. 19 & 20 May. www.alexandrapalace.com
