The Bodyguard - THE BODYGUARD, based on the smash-hit film which starred Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston, will premiere in London's West End this autumn starring HEATHER HEADLEY as Rachel Marron & LLOYD OWEN as Frank Farmer. Former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer (Lloyd Owen), is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron (Heather Headley) from an unknown stalker. ALDWYCH THEATRE -
Top Hat
- Seventy-seven years after Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers lit up Hollywood's silver screen with one of the greatest dance musicals of all time, RKO Pictures' TOP HAT is coming to the West End. Judging by the sensational reviews, standing ovations and sold out theatres around the country on its pre-London tour, it has been well worth the wait. Tom Chambers (Holby City heartthrob and Strictly Come Dancing winner) plays the irrepressible Broadway sensation Jerry Travers who dances his way across Europe to win the heart of society model Dale Tremont, played by triple Olivier Award nominee Summer Strallen (Love Never Dies, The Sound of Music, The Drowsy Chaperone). - If you never had a chance before to see this show, please go to Vaudeville Theatre in the Strand. APOLLO VICTORIA -
Wicked
- WickedWicked, the spellbinding and spectacular hit Broadway musical, tells the incredible untold story of the legendary witches from L. Frank Baum's classic, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. When Dorothy famously triumphed in Oz, we only ever heard one side of the story. Now Wicked brings to life the captivating, surprising story of how a misunderstood, green girl named Elphaba became "Wicked" but her unlikely friend, Glinda, became "good". Based on Gregory Maguire's "outstanding novel" (The Independent), Wicked transports audiences to a fantasy land of wizardry and witchcraft, with Grammy Award-winning music, Tony Award-winning sets and costumes, and stunning special effects. The sensational London cast will be headed, for a limited season, by Broadway star Idina Menzel, who will recreate her acclaimed, Tony Award-winning performance as Elphaba (the green girl whose destiny is to be the infamous Wicked Witch of the West). CAMBRIDGE THEATRE -
Matilda the Musical
- Following a sensational sell-out season at The Courtyard Theatre, the RSC's production of MATILDA THE MUSICAL transfers to London's West End this October. Roald Dahl's much-loved story bursts into life on stage in this brand new musical version by Dennis Kelly and award-winning musician and comedian Tim Minchin. Children and adults alike will be thrilled and delighted by the story of the special little girl with an extraordinary imagination. Her parents think she is a nuisance and she thinks, quite rightly, they are only interested in watching telly. CRITERION THEATRE -
The 39 Steps

DUCHESS THEATRE -
Untold Stories - Alex Jennings leads critically acclaimed double-bill of Hymn and Cocktail Sticks. The National Theatre production of Alan Bennett’s UNTOLD STORIES, featuring the two autobiographical recollections Hymn and Cocktail Sticks, will transfer to the Duchess Theatre in London’s West End from 22 March 2013 for a twelve week run with a press night on 2 April. Alex Jennings repeats his highly-praised performance as Bennett in both pieces. Hymn is a touching memoir of music in childhood, with words by Alan Bennett and an evocative score by George Fenton. It is directed by Nadia Fall. Cocktail Sticks is directed by Nicholas Hytner and revisits some of the themes and conversations of Alan Bennett’s memoir A Life Like Other People’s. Rock of Ages
- ROCK OF AGES is the “insanely fun” (New York Time Out ) worldwide smash hit that features a hilarious mix of 30 eyebrow-scorching tunes including Don’t Stop Believin’, We Built This City, The Final Countdown, Wanted Dead or Alive, Here I Go Again, Can’t Fight this Feeling and I Want To Know What Love Is. Thriller - Live

Peter and Alice - When Alice Liddell Hargreaves met Peter Llewellyn Davies at the opening of a Lewis Carroll exhibition in 1932, the original Alice in Wonderland came face to face with the original Peter Pan. In John Logan's remarkable new play, enchantment and reality collide as this brief encounter lays bear the lives of these two extraordinary characters. PRINCE OF WALES THEATRE -
The Book of Mormon
- Gavin Creel and Jared Gertner will play Elder Price and Elder Cunningham in The Book of Mormon, which previews at the Prince of Wales Theatre from 25 February 2013. They are currently leading the company in the Los Angeles production, which has broken all box office records at the Pantages Theatre. Gavin Creel has previously appeared in the West End as Claude in Hair at the Gielgud Theatre and as Bert in Mary Poppins at the Prince Edward Theatre. Creel received Tony Award® nominations for his roles in the Broadway productions of Hair and Thoroughly Modern Millie. Jared Gertner will make his West End debut in The Book of Mormon. He was a member of the original Tony Award®-winning Broadway company and has previously been seen on stage in Spelling Bee at the Circle in the Square Theatre and in Ordinary Days at the Roundabout Theatre. Gertner has also been seen on TV in Ugly Betty and The Good Wife. The Book of Mormon comes from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, and Avenue Q co-creator Robert Lopez. The Book of Mormon, winner of nine Tony Awards®, including Best Musical, and the Grammy for Best Musical Theatre album, follows a pair of Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that’s a long way from Salt Lake City.
